Smith & Allan Friction Modifier Additive

Friction modifier additive is a synthetic limited slip additive, designed for use with hypoid gear oils to alter frictional characteristics and give them the ability to be used in limited slip differentials. It may also be used as a supplement to fully formulated limited slip differential oils, to overcome adsorption of the additive into friction materials. The use of this additive in standard differential will help to reduce chatter and improve differential performance.

Friction modifier additive may be added to conventional hypoid gear oils, to offer limited slip capabilities or as a supplement to fully formulated limited slip oils where improper limited slip operation is detected.
